NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (June 6, 2006) – As part of the festivities leading up to the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation will hold its 7th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic on August 24, 2006 at Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, it was announced today by Steve Mosko, Chairman of the Board of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation and Tournament Chairman.
The tournament celebrity guest host will be Donald Trump (The Apprentice). Proceeds from the event will benefit the Television Academy Foundation, which develops and administers numerous educational and archival programs serving the general public and academic community, the television industry and the Television Academy membership.
“The Celebrity Golf Classic is an annual benefit that gives the industry a chance to support the Television Academy's Foundation and its important educational and archival programs," said Mosko. "We especially look forward to this year's tournament as the event will be held on Trump's beautiful new golf course and during the week leading up to the Emmy® Awards which is one of the most exciting times of year for the Television Academy and its Foundation."
